Repositioning the role of Physics in Sustainable development through Research and innovation

The Master of Science in Physics Program is designed for students who want to obtain an advanced degree in physics. Physics is a broad subject that ranges from large scale study of the universe down to designing, say, better electronic memory devices. Physics also plays an important role in contributing directly toward energy production and environmental projects and indirectly through basic research, providing technological knowledge from research programs, and helping to educate a technically literate population capable of responding to environmental issues. The programme provides opportunities to students to achieve a conceptual understanding of   advanced physics; the role it plays in science, technology and sustainable development so as to.
  • Carry out scientific work independently, as well as presenting complicated matters clearly that will help alleviate some of the current national challenges.
  • Further their understanding in new fields of physics and how they respond to issues of Climate Change and Renewable and Sustainable Energy.
  • Participate in advanced industrial research, leadership and management of complex work and development of situations within the field of physics, such as Astrology
  • Apply physics in the value addition and designing of new products through research and innovation
