MUKUBA UNIVERSITY LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE 2022/2023 ACADEMIC YEAR

Mukuba University (formerly COSETCO) is a public university with the unique mandate of facilitating the training of teachers of mathematics and science in Zambia. The Institution has attracted a number of scholarships. The scholarships currently on offer are:

The scholarship is sponsored by BEM MOTORS in memory of the late Agatha Ntombizodwa Kabwe Nkwazi. The scholarship targets academically capable but financially challenged students of Mukuba University. The scholarship will be contributory, meaning that Power tools will contribute Eighty percent (80%) of fees payable to the University, while the recipients will contribute Twenty percent (20%) of the fees payable.

ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

1.Be in possession of an admission/acceptance letter from Mukuba University.

2.Demonstrate academic ability. First year applicants must have an average score of ‘credit’ or ‘Grade 6’ or better in their Grade 12 results; while returning students of Mukuba University wishing to apply must have an average score of ‘B’ in order for them to be considered.

3.Demonstrate that they need financial assistance [Refer to Part B “iv” of the application form]

4.Be a Zambian citizen

5.Have no criminal record or general record of bad behaviour. Returning students of Mukuba University wishing to apply for the scholarship should have a clean disciplinary record.

6.Not to have been awarded and accepted a scholarship, bursary or educational loan from the Ministry of Education or any other institution during the same period they intend to undertake their studies at Mukuba University

7.Have no outstanding balance with the University (for returning students)

8.An application fee of K150 should be deposited using Bill Muster and handwritten application letters submitted to the Academic office by Thursday, 8th June, 2023.

This scholarship is sponsored by R. J. Mtonga Enterprises, in memory of the late Mr Richard Johnstone Mtonga. The scholarship targets academically capable but financially challenged students of Mukuba University. The scholarship will be contributory, meaning that R. J. Mtonga enterprises will contribute Eighty percent (80%) of fees payable to the University, while the recipients will contribute Twenty percent (20%) of the fees payable.
