Dr. Evans Lifuka

Dr Evans Lifuka is a lecturer in Quality Assurance (QA) in the School of Education at Mukuba University. He is Manager Quality Assurance as well as Acting Dean School of Education at Mukuba University.

Dr Evans Lifuka is a specialist in the provision of QA at higher education level including Open and Distance Learning (ODL). He has also been lecturing Sociology of Education from October, 2010 to date. He completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Zambia, obtained another master’s degree in Management of Education from Masstricht School of Management from the Netherlands and his PhD in Higher Education (Quality Assurance) from Southampton University.

Dr Lifuka has a broad and interdisciplinary interest for research, that includes among others (1) Quality Assurance in Higher Education, Open, Distance and e-Learning, Sociology of Education, School Management and Improvement. His current projects focus on QA in teacher training colleges in Zambia and some empirical research papers on the theoretical and conceptual framework for quality delivery of ODL.

Curriculum for a Bachelor of Education degree will provide the skills and knowledge necessary to prepare students to be successful and innovative professionals in the field of education through coursework and application of theory and methods in student teaching. Students also have the flexibility of full-time, part-time, or online programs to earn a Bachelor of Education degree. Knowing how people learn and how to teach them are important skills that translate across many career fields. The ability to effectively train others is likely to remain in high demand across a myriad of industries. Differentiating instruction depending on the student’s learning style is a skill that trained teachers can provide.
